This amazing journey involves a tough climb but offers incredible views of peaks like Nuptse, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. The adventure starts with an exciting flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, followed by several days of trekking through the Khumbu Valley to reach the famous Everest Base Camp. Along the way, you'll pass through charming villages such as Tengboche, Dingboche, and Namche Bazaar, offering the perfect opportunity to experience the unique culture and traditions of the Sherpa People. Eventually, you'll arrive at Chhukung to prepare for the challenging climb ahead.

The Island Peak climb includes navigating steep, rocky terrain and requires the use of crampons and ropes. Island Peak Climbing — Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu airport, Transfer to request hotel accommodation in Kathmandu (1350m)
Day 02: Preparation and briefings at the departments of tourism. Last-minute shopping.
Day 03: Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Trek to Phakding (2650m) 4 hrs.Lodge accommodation
Day 04: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m) 6hrs. Lodge accommodation
Day 05: This is a rest day for acclimatisation.
You will hike for 3 hours to the famous Everest View Hotel (3800m) and catch a glimpse of Everest. After that, you can explore the Hilary and Sherpa Museum in Namche. In the evening, they have a slide show program as well.
Day 06: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3850m) 5-6 hrs.
Visit the Buddhist monastery. Lodge accommodation
Day 07: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4350m) 4hrs.
Catch a glimpse of Mt. Ama Dablam and Mt. Lhotse. Lodge accommodation
Day 08: Acclimatisation in Dingboche(4350m) hiking up to Chhukung-Ri
Day 09: Trek from Dingboche to Chhukung (4730m) 3hrs. Lodge accommodation
Day 10: Trek from Chhukung to Island Peak base camp (5087m). Camping
Day 11-12: Climb to Island Peak (6165m)15hrs. Camping
Day 13: Trek from Island Peak base camp to Pangboche(3985m) 6hrs. Lodge accommodation
Day 14: Trek from Pangboche to Namche Bazaar (3440m) 05hrs. Lodge accommodation
Day 15: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla(2840m) 7hrs. Lodge accommodation
Day 16: Fly 35mins from Lukla to Kathmandu (1350m) 35mins. Transfer to hotel
Day 17: Leisure day shopping in Kathmandu.
A farewell celebration dinner with a cultural program will be held during the evening.

You must provide the authorities with the following paperwork for your climbing and trekking permits.

  • Two recent passport-sized photos, taken within the last six months
